The SoLa Foundation Cybersecurity & IT Academy

In partnership with LA Care

Through our partnership with the SoLa Technology & Entrepreneurship Center, What If Security designed a six-month cybersecurity and IT bootcamp focused on helping participants build practical, industry-relevant skills, as well as prepare for careers in technology.

The program combined instructor-led training, hands-on labs, technical projects, and career development to give participants experience beyond traditional classroom learning. Students worked with tools and technologies used across the cybersecurity and IT fields, while developing foundational knowledge in areas such as:

• System Administration and Scripting
• Computer Networking
• Governance, Risk, and Compliance
• Identity and Access Management
• Vulnerability Management,
• Security Operations,
• Cloud Security and Administration, and
• Incident Response.

The impact of the bootcamps delivered extended beyond just technical instruction, by providing structured learning, mentorship, exposure to industry practices, and a clear pathway toward continued education, certifications, and employment.

The partnership with the SoLa Foundation demonstrates WiS's ability to develop and deliver workforce programs that are both technically rigorous and accessible to individuals who may not have had a traditional pathway into cybersecurity.
